2016 Recipient: John Alexander, AJi Software

Each year the annual Spirit Award is presented during AIM HDC. This award recognizes an outstanding development community leader. AIM HDC is an event that was born out of, and continues to thrive within, a strong regional software design and development community. The leaders of this community are often unsung heroes. They facilitate meet-ups, list-serves, Twitter accounts, Facebook pages, blogs and websites that keep our community alive.

This award is given in the name of Kent Tegels, one of the original AIM HDC founders and supporters. He was a friend and a colleague, who dedicated a large portion of his life to growing our community. Anyone who knew Kent knows that an award recognizing the efforts of one of our community leaders is a fitting tribute to his legacy, and we’re proud to be able to present the award on his behalf.

Do you know someone who has made a positive impact in the development community? Nominate them today.

The nominees will be evaluated by a qualified committee and the winner will be announced at this year’s conference.
