Teamwork is the catalyst that has initiated our unprecedented growth. This teamwork, coupled with the success of competitive life insurance and annuity products and outstanding fraternal benefits, has established Woodmen as a leader among both fraternal and commercial life insurers.

The Society promotes a culture that values individuals and their differences in an effort to realize the full creative potential of all associates. We work very hard to provide a quality work environment for every associate, resulting in opportunities for personal and professional growth.

The future is bright for Woodmen. Our associates are well-trained professionals, our fraternal program is stronger than ever and our products are rated among the best. Woodmen is ready for the future.

About Woodmen

One of the largest fraternal benefit societies in the United States, Woodmen was founded in Omaha, Nebraska, on June 6, 1890, by Joseph Cullen Root with the purpose of providing members with insurance protection and fraternal benefits.

Today more than 500 associates in our Omaha headquarters work hand-in-hand with 1,700 field associates to provide financial security and fraternalism for our 840,000 members across the nation.

Woodmen offers a variety of insurance and annuity products, providing quality coverage to meet our members’ needs. Our insurance and annuity products include:
  • Whole Life
  • Flexible Premium Life
  • Term Life
  • Disability Income
  • Hospital Indemnity Insurance
  • Roth IRA
  • SIMPLE IRA
  • Equity Indexed Annuity
  • Basic annuities.
When a person purchases a Woodmen product, he or she becomes a member of a local lodge and receives additional fraternal benefits plus the opportunity to participate in lodge activities. The Society’s lodges conduct fraternal projects of benefit to people and their communities. These projects include presenting American flags to civic and community organizations; donating equipment to police, fire and rescue units; and providing assistance to senior citizens, the physically impaired and orphans.

Our Mission

To help ensure financial security for our members by providing quality products and exceptional service.

To foster fraternalism through family, civic, charitable and patriotic activities.

To achieve these results through superior teamwork and dedicated leadership.

To be mindful that we exist for the benefit of our members.
