The general expectations of the faculty member in this position are as follows: 1.To provide instruction in required and elective courses in the professional degree program 2.To engage in scholarly activities, including independent research, submission of grants, giving presentations, and authoring publications 3.To advise and counsel students in academic and career-decision matters 4.To provide service to the College of Pharmacy, Nebraska Medical Center (NMC), and University of Nebraska Medical Center through participation in standing and ad hoc committees 5.To provide professional service locally, nationally and internationally through membership and participation in professional organizations and participation in continuing education 6.To provide public service in health and health-related programs and activities 7.To provide clinical and/or clinical service development to community pharmacy and community pharmacy preceptors and sites. Candidates must possess a Pharm.D. degree or Ph.D., an ambulatory care or community pharmacy practice residency or equivalent experience, and be eligible for pharmacy practice licensure in Nebraska. A working knowledge of medication therapeutic management (MTM) is essential. The selected individual will participate in the education of students in the professional pharmacy curriculum and in post-graduate programs (residency, fellowship, graduate) in the department and College.
