B.Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities 1.Teaching (2%) a.to teach and evaluate the work of students in the biomedical science courses offered by the department (e.g., Biochemistry for Dental Students, OB 545; Advanced Oral Biology, OB 855) b.to establish and maintain a classroom and laboratory atmosphere that encourages free inquiry and the free expression of ideas of students c.to present the subject matter of courses as announced to the students and approved by the College of Dentistry Curriculum Committee d.to maintain competency in the areas of assigned courses e.to meet all classes at assigned times unless absence is caused by an emergency or approved University business f.to provide students the opportunity for instructor and Ph.D. or equivalent degree and postdoctoral experience required. Research focus compatible with Nebraska Center for Cellular Signaling's interests.
