A postdoctoral position is available in the Liver Study Unit at the Omaha VA Medical Center and the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. The research is supported by a grant from the National Institute of Health to examine how ethanol consumption alters lipid droplet trafficking in fatty liver disease. The successful applicant will be conducting investigations to specifically determine whether ethanol exposure affects lipid droplet trafficking between Golgi, endosomes and endoplasmic reticulum, and whether such alterations are related to hepatic steatosis (fatty liver).
