A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available immediately to join a program project grant-funded team of investigators studying the molecular mechanisms involved in the control of Staphylococcus aureus biofilm development. This position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Paul Fey. A Ph.D. and experience with molecular/biochemical techniques is required. A Ph.D. in Microbiology, Molecular Biology or related field. Experience in molecular/biochemical techniques is required. Research experience in Staphylococcus aureus and the development of its biofilm. The incumbent will be expected to interact with staff, students and investigators at UNMC, as well as other organizations, for the purpose of exchanging information and other resources to facilitate research goals. Laboratory supervisory skills preferred as the candidate will supervisor the research efforts of students and technologists.
