Senior Configuration Engineer
Physicians Mutual is looking for a Senior Configuration Engineer in our Enterprise Technology Group. A successful candidate will understand the business environment, corporate culture and structure to implement Configuration Management initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:

Supports software and hardware design, building, testing deployment and operational support phases to ensure developers have appropriate workspaces and available artifacts.

Trains and provides periodic work guidance to the Configuration Management staff.

Supports staff working with project managers to provide input, advice, and recommendations regarding Configuration Management problems or tailoring.

Supports establishment and work of Change Review Boards (CRB), Change Control Boards (CCB), and Change Advisory Boards (CAB).

Works to ensure that environments facilitate product review, change, and defect tracking activities.
Job Qualifications:

B.S. degree in Computer Science, related discipline, and or related work experience required.

Five to seven years experience in Configuration Management, Change Management, and Release Management required.

Experience with Rational Unified Process (RUP), Rational Tools, J2EE, and Service Oriented Architecture required.

Previous experience in strategic and architectural implementation in both mainframe and distributed environments highly desired.

Knowledge of Configuration Management, Change Management, and Release Management processes and procedures.

Experience with software configuration tools (ClearCase, ClearQuest, ChangeMan).

Ability to audit software and environmental changes.

Experience with distributed and mainframe change management.
