As our Director of Transportation you will oversee Transportation Operations and Customs, Compliance, and Carrier Relations. Coordinate change management activities with area managers to ensure the timely, accurate, and cost effective processing of customer orders. Oversee the design, development, communication and implementation of Transportation initiatives to assure that assigned objectives are met. Additionally, you will maintain a safe working environment and ensure staff is adhering to OSHA standards. Best of all, you will directly supervise 2-4 managers and coach and mentor staff to ensure engagement and productivity levels are maintained.
Here’s what you need to join the fun:
· Bachelor’s Degree in business, logistics or engineering required. Master’s degree preferred
· 7-10 years management experience required primarily in transportation, logistics or equivalent
· Experience with high volume parcel transportation required
· Experience with imports and international freight operations
· Strong communication/influence skills with all levels of the organization
· Strong quantitative business analytical skills
· Experience with carrier relationship management and contract negotiations
· Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
· Familiarity with Kewill Flagship and Customs preferred
