Position Description

KEY POSITION FUNCTIONS:

 

Perform job and task analysis in accordance with the Training Administrative Manual.

 

Design, develop and maintain lesson plans.

 

Prepare upgrade training materials in response to trainee performance problems, industry events, and changing regulations/guidelines.

 

Conduct classroom instruction, simulator instruction, and trainee evaluations.

 

Manage projects as directed by the Supervisor, Operations and Technical Training.

 

Prepare examination questions and other appropriate evaluation tools.

 

Apply the accredited Instructional Systems Design (ISD) model to assigned areas of operator training.

 

Coordinate projects.

 

Conduct walk-throughs.

 

Prepare and validate examination questions and job performance measures.

 

Participate in, and/or actively support, the Fort Calhoun Station?s Emergency Response Organization.

 

Regular and predictable attendance is required.

 

 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES/PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

Prepare and conduct training program for Fort Calhoun Station personnel.

 

Analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate training as assigned.

 

 

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION:

 

Must hold a high school diploma and meet at least one of the following requirements:

 

Hold or have held a Reactor Operator or Senior Reactor Operator license at Fort Calhoun Station; or

 

Have held a Reactor Operator or Senior Reactor Operator license at another operating nuclear power plant.

 

Hold a Senior Reactor Operator certification at the Fort Calhoun Station.

 

 

ABILITY/SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS:

 

Must demonstrate well-developed written and verbal communication skills.

 

Must have strong administrative skills.

 

Must be able to work effectively with all levels of plant and company personnel.

 

Within six months of filling the position, should be FCS classroom instructor certified.
