Position Description
POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for understanding and providing financial and regulatory analysis on
Federal, State, and other governmental third party payer regulations, lead the completion
and submission of required Federal, State and Local documents/reports, and work with
governmental agencies, governmental third party payers and external Auditors in a manner
which protects and enhances the financial position of the hospital.
QUALIFICATIONS:
BSBA with an emphasis in Accounting and/or Business required
Minimum 3 years of progressive reimbursement experience with a Hospital, Fiscal Intermediary
and/or Accounting firm required.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access required.
Proficient in Medicate cost report software required.
Proficient in Health Financial Systems (HFS) preferred.
Expert knowledge of and extensive interest in: Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare and other
governmental third party payer rules, regulations and cost reports, including the home
office cost report strongly preferred.
Excellent written/oral communication, analytical, interpretive, and interpersonal skills
required.
Capability to work independently and manage multiple priorities required.
