POSITION PURPOSE

Provide database management and project support to the organized Medical Staff at The Nebraska Medical Center and Bellevue Medical Center through medical staff monitoring activities utilizing clinical data collected from various departments; medical staff credentialing processes and database management/maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school education or equivalent required. Post secondary education preferred. Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) certification or a minimum of four years experience working in a medical staff or human resources environment required. Demonstrated experience with computer generated reports and knowledge of statistics required. Ability to identify and resolve daily operational problems/issues-negotiation and problem solving skills required. Proficient in MS Word and Excel and Internet application(s) required. Credentialing or HR software experience preferred. Ability to multitask required. Working knowledge of regulatory and accrediting standards including Joint Commission, National Practitioner Data Bank, CMS and AMA preferred. Basic medical terminology required. Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills required. Ability to maintain confidentiality; work independently and as a member of a team required.
