MUSTbe anINTERNAL employee Adult Progressive Care Unit (APCU) cares for a mixture of patients including but not limited to trauma, neurosurgery, critical care medicine and critical care surgery patients. These patients may be stable ventilator dependent patients, require high level of monitoring with arterial lines, intracranial external ventricular drainage systems, and/or vasoactive and cardiac inotrope continuous IV infusion. Patients being cared for on APCU are those whose condition warrants a progressive level of care which requires frequent monitoring, or nursing intervention, and/or advanced equipment and pharmologic interventions
