Supports billing and collections processes by verifying eligibility, benefits, maintaining patient insurance information for billing and demographic purposes, collecting co-payments, obtaining prior authorizations and handling assistance and /or charity requests as applicable. Supports development and implementation of registration and billing practices to improve patient care. High School graduate or equivalent required.

Minimum of two years Pharmacy Technician experience in an outpatient or similar setting

required.

Registered as a Pharmacy Technician required.

Pharmacy technician Certification preferred.

Experience in health care, collections, or registration preferred.

Demonstrated customer relations skills both verbal and written.

Experience in data entry required.

Demonstrates the ability to identify and solve problems.

Demonstrates the ability to form and maintain working relationships within the department

and The Nebraska Medical Center to foster a "team" environment.

Active membership in professional pharmacy organizations preferred.
