HOURS: PRN Pool On-Call, Temporary, Part time.

The Department of Health and Human Services is actively seeking temporary CNA/CMA's as Staff Care Technicians to add to our caring staff assisting our military heroes/veterans, who reside in the beautiful Eastern Nebraska Veterans' Home. Provide quality care to members to maintain quality of life and ensure privacy and dignity. Prepare, administer and documents oral and topical medications and treatments. Completes essential documentation. Communicates observations concerning member's signification health needs to Charge Nurse. Ensure sanitation, infection control and safety practices.

REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years of age and complete an approved 76-hour Nursing Assistant course. Ability to do heavy lifting on a daily basis. Ability to stoop, bend, reach overhead and walk or stand, up to 90% of the shift. Successful completion of Medication Aide course within first year of employment. Pre-employment background check and drug screening is required.
