Job Requirements:
Education:
· High school education of GED equivalent preferred.
· Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical skills.
· Ability to perform basic computer operational skills.
· Participates in mandatory in-services and continuing education programs as mandated by policies and procedures/external agencies and as directed by supervisor.
Experience:
· Must be able to read, write, and carry out oral and written instructions with accuracy and efficiency.
· Computer knowledge helpful in order to utilize windows, touch-screen, and mouse environment.
· Strong customer service, organization, and telephone skills, in addition to strong problem solving abilities.
Job Duties:
· Enters diet orders and information from Cerner and/or Dietitians & Techs into CBORD office system to create or maintain updated patient files.
· Prints and utilizes the following CBORD outputs: tray tickets, nourishments and tube feeding labels, diet order change reports and other general reports.
· Enters patient meal selections into CBORD system by following departmental procedures.
· Prepares supplemental feedings and formulas to promote optimal nutritional intake according to prescribed departmental standards.
· Documents oral fluid & food intake, menu selection and related statistics regarding meals served, to enhance on-going evaluation of patient nutritional status.
· Follows procedures for reporting computer-related problems.
· Uses and cleans equipment, per departmental standard to maximize food safety.
· Other duties as assigned by management
