Job Responsibilities
- Answers incoming calls to physicians’ offices in order to greet caller, take message, notify on call physician or staff member and answer routine questions. This is accomplished by listening to caller, asking pertinent information in an appropriate tone of voice, recording message to be passed and using Amcom system to send proper notification.
- Updates Amcom system to reflect current on-call personnel in order to rapidly contact appropriate personnel of messages. This is accomplished by updating system from monthly calendars and check-out calls from offices and physicians and removing out-of-date data.
- Briefs the oncoming shift personnel to insure continuity and accuracy.
- Answers and responds to PBX calls, codes and alarms and follows operating procedures as needed in order to provide adequate staffing of the PBX
Job Qualifications
- Completion of high school diploma or equivalent
- At least three months experience in an answering service or call center environment
- Must be able to type to type at least 25 words per minute
