EEG Technician

On-Call / Varied Shifts

$14.10/hr + with experience

Job Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent. 
• Prefer college courses in anatomy, biology, and physiology. 
• Two years direct experience in EDS. 
• Certification or licensure: Current CPR/BLS certification, prefer Registered EEG Technologist or registry eligible. 
• If RN, must have current Iowa license.

Job Experience / Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform EEG’s. Ability to recognize significant abnormalities in EEG wave forms.
• Skilled in promoting positive relations when interacting with patients or other customers
• Work is done in an environmentally controlled hospital. Physical requirements include the ability to perform CPR, lifting up to 20 lbs. occasionally (34-65% of time) as involved in the transfer of patients and movement of equipment. Requires standing and walking frequently (66-100% of time). 
• Requires working with multiple activities and dividing time and attention to a variety of demands, possibly in emergency situations.
