RN Casual (On-Call)  - Outpatient Surgery

Job Requirements

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Eligible for Iowa licensure.
• BLS Certification

Job Experience

• This position functions in an environmentally controlled hospital setting. 
• Requires working with multiple activities and dividing time and attention to a variety of demands and working irregular hours. 
• This position is classified as Medium Work in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, requiring exertion of 20-50 lb. of force occasionally (34-65% of time) and/or up to 75 lbs., requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. 
• This Registered Nurse requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination, as in the manipulation of paperwork and patient/staff information or use of office equipment such as; telephone, copy machine, and computer, and medical equipment such as; blood pressure machines, IV pumps.. 
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.  
• Must wear surgical scrubs in Endoscopy Suite. 
• Requires that an individual take “call time”. 
• The nurse will be required to be knowledgeable and proficient in the unit specific nursing skills in the care of patients 12 years and older. 
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Some visual strain possible due to approximately 65% of time on PC.
