HDR Engineering is in search of an experienced Rail Engineer to join our growing Southern California rail group. The primary responsibility of the Rail Engineer is to serve in a technical role, under the direction of a Project Manager. Overseeing the work of EITs and junior project engineers, the duties of this position include preparing detailed engineering designs for freight, commuter and light rail transportation projects. Project involvement will range from site feasibility analysis, developing digital terrain models, profiles, templates and grading quantities through final design and through the construction phase. Experience should include site planning, preparation of concept alignments, geometrical layout and CADD base alignment plans. Must have coordinated survey, grading, drainage and utilities and layout of various site items is a plus. May also assume some project management duties and have a fair amount of client interaction.



This position could be based in either Irvine or San Diego.



Key Words:

PE Preferred, previous rail and/or roadway design experience preferred.
