Position Description
Registered Architect to perform layout, design, development, detailing, etc. on Healthcare and Research projects. Production and departmental planning experience in preparation and layout of architectural contract documents and specifications. Establishes client and internal meetings and participates in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance. Conducts design development and contract document work sessions at project site in conjunction with Project Manager and other disciplines. Is responsible to lead the technical team and coordinate workload through design development and construction document phases to complete documents on schedule. Reviews architectural documents and works closely with other disciplines to finalize the development and detailing of projects. Coordinates and assists, with affected disciplines, any addenda, RFIs, CPRs or change orders and is responsible to incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documents. Provides construction administration services as needed.

Demonstrate ability to lead technical delivery and perform on multiple projects at a time.

Must have leadership and communication skills to effectively lead the delivery team and work closely with clients. Experience with departmental planning of acute care teaching hospitals and private institutions.

- Registered Architect.

- 6+ years experience in Healthcare related projects and knowledgeable of the Houston market.

- Good team leadership skills and good with clients.

- Strong knowledge of codes and good planning skills.

- Flexibility in assignments and team leadership.

- AutoCad experience.

Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule, etc.).

- Good team skills and design and construction experience preferred.

- Experience in departmental medical planning.

- Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required.
