The primary duties of the Resident Engineer are to manage rail construction activities at multiple sites simultaneously, beginning with constructability review of design drawings, development of bid documents, evaluation of bid responses, selection of contractors, construction start up to completion. Responsible for construction project documentation control, inspection services for contract compliance, scheduling, budget control, cost estimating, change order evaluation, estimating and negotiation, contractors invoice evaluation and process, and coordination for rail facilities projects.

10+ years experience in design and/or construction inspection, or as resident engineer on rail projects.

EIT/PE preferred.

Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Prolog, Primavera, etc).
