The Security Analyst position is responsible for providing guidance and direction on Information Security best practices and standards for HDR. The Security Analyst will also monitor industry trends and alerts for security issues that may affect HDR. The Security Analyst will also participate in technology projects as needed to provide input and guidance on security measures and practices needed to effectively secure the systems to be deployed. The position requires interpersonal skills in interfacing with customers, technology staff, and senior management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in the creation and management of HDR security policies

Provide input to the I.T.

management team on security best practices and approaches applicable to support of sustainable production systems

Monitor industry alerts on security threats and advise technical teams on actions to

respond to those threats

Lead the development of security best practices and standards for use at HDR with the

support and input from other technical staff and management

Participate in security incident responses where necessary

Conduct research and keep abreast of promising system security processes and tools that

meet or are expected to meet current and future business needs

Specify, support and enforce information security system standards.

Provide security education and training of IT staff and coordinate recommendations for company-wide security training

Remains current on security trends and advancements

Active participant and advocate for strong teamwork and cross team coordination

Participation in I.T.

improvement initiatives

Participate in customer meetings and presentations when requested

Normal hours:

M-F 8am-5pm, hours will need to be flexible and may require some weekends and nights.
