HDR is currently in need of a Sr. Project Design Engineer to work as a member of our Water Business Group in Norfolk, VA. Specifically, this individual will be responsible for the design of large diameter water and wastewater pipelines. They will also work extensively on the design of related pump stations. The Sr. Project Design Engineer will also be expected to help mentor junior engineers and staff members on a regular basis. They may also serve as a project manager for specific, conveyance related aspects of a project as needed.

BS in Civil Engineering or related discipline required.

MS in Civil Engineering a plus.

PE required.

10+ years of experience with the design of large diameter water and wastewater pipelines, HDD pipelines, pump stations, and related systems required.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Microstation and Hydraulic modeling software a must.
