Directs, plans, and designs research to aid in interpretation of and solution of complex problems with economic relationships. Conducts economic modeling, cost-benefit analysis and risk or financial analysis. Studies economic and statistical data in area of specialization. Devises methods and procedures for collecting and processing data, utilizing knowledge of available sources of data and various econometric and sampling techniques. Formulates recommendations, policies, or plans to aid in market interpretation or solution of economic issues. May plan and develop project activities with significant impact. Typically requires a minimum of an M.SC/M.A. degree in economics and 10+ years experience including staff management & development, client interaction and proposal writing. Experience in transporation economics projects is strongly preferred. Experience in Excel, Limdep, SAS, SPSS, Eviews and MS Access is required. VB programming experience is a plus.
