Position Description
Job Description:
Planning - Assist the Sr. Information Assurance Analysts in analyzing business functions and risks in order to set the scope of information assurance reviews, consulting engagements, and integrated assistance to operational audit teams and develop the related Audit Program Guides and test procedures.
Fieldwork - Perform and document assigned engagement procedures, document steps taken and results obtained in department standard work papers and ensure completion of engagement tests, information gathering, and evaluation of results in support of engagement objectives.
Wrap-Up - Report issues and supporting evidence to the Sr. Information Assurance Analyst leading the engagement, and follow-up on previously identified issues.
Professional Behavior and Working Relationships - Maintain professional behavior and positive working relationships with co-workers and clients.
Special Technical - Perform research to obtain technical guidance in the engagements involving a detailed working knowledge of particular IS infrastructure or applications (Z/OS, UNIX, LINUX, JCL, ACF2, AIX, Tandem, Windows, TCP/IP, CISCO, CA-1, CA-7, DB2, ORACLE, HOGAN, GEAC, etc.) and information security assessment tools.
Job Qualifications:
Required: Minimum of a bachelor's degree or an additional 2 years of technical operations or security experience.
Three years of hands-on technical operational or assessment experience may be substituted.
Good administrative skills in the areas of time management and documentation, and communication skills, both oral and written
Desirable: Masters of Business Administration or Management Information Systems degree.
CISSP, CISM, or CISA certification or other security or vendor certifications.
Information assurance or security assessment experience.
