FileONE, Inc, the leading provider of back-office and online Business Service systems to Secretary of State offices, is seeking a Data Migration & Conversion DBA/Programmer to work on site in Helena, MT.

The Migration DBA will work remotely with FileONE’s DB team, as well as Client Application Users, to convert and migrate legacy system data into New System database/schema from multiple databases and schemas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include the following; other related duties may be assigned. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

·         Executing data migration plans and activities to plan– Including Extract, Transfer, Load (ETL).

·         Document plans, activities and test cases to facilitate repeatable process and knowledge transfer.

·         Participate in testing and Quality System Software Validation of migration activities.

·         Independently drive assignments to completion and take a lead role in planning and executing assigned data migration activities.

Technical Skills

§  The ideal candidate must have experience in various db environments including SQL Server, Oracle with exposure to Ingres, Postgres, DB2

• Data Conversion and Migration experience from multiple db and schemas
• Managing, installing and setting SQL Server and Oracle DB

§  Experience handling image and XML data

• Hands-on experience with SSIS, Service Broker, synonym, schema, exception handling, DTS, Import, Export, Data Conversion and ETL tools
• T-SQL & PLSql – Writing Stored Procedures, Views etc.
• SQL and Windows Scripting
• DB Replication / Mirroring Experience
• DB Trouble Shooting Experience in cluster and non-cluster environment
• Understanding of DB Schema, Referential Integrity and ERD

§  Understanding of Financial systems and transactions

Performance Skills

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as software specifications, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to deal with nonverbal communication and symbolism in its most difficult phase
• Ability to work with little supervision.
• Ability to work at client site and with remote team.
• Ability to perform tasks within the estimated level of effort and schedule.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.

Education / Experience

Bachelor’s degree preferred with 4 years Data Migration, Conversion and ETL related IT experience required.
