Position Description

Taste Traditions is an Omaha based boil in the bag and frozen prepared food manufacturer.  We produce premium lines of macaroni & cheese, soups, Mexican specialty foods and side dishes.  We have been in business for more than thirty (30) years, we are a leader in the industry, and we offer our customers outstanding products with excellent sales and uncompromised service.

 

At Taste Traditions, we sell and offer our products to the more than 700,000 grocery stores, convenience stores, superstores, restaurants, and delis in the United States.  Our products are shipped internationally, and we are also a very proud supplier to the United States military.

General Summary of Position

 

This position is based in our Omaha Corporate Headquarters and is responsible for generating revenue from both existing and new customers through consultative selling and superior customer service practices.  We require responsible and self-motivated sales account executives that would represent, sell, and merchandise assigned product lines to a specified geography.  It is essential to have great relationship-building skills with our company’s clients.

 

Essential Job Functions

 

Manages assigned territory and makes face-to-face calls on existing customers and prospective customer.  We support our salespeople with marketing material, sample products, and point of sale displays.  The successful applicant makes value added phone calls to their existing customer base to promote and cross-sell related products. We use consultative selling techniques to explore client needs and offer suggestions.  Further, the successful applicant shall be able to utilize effective sales techniques to handle objections and effectively close the sale..  Applicant must also be able to maintain accurate and complete customer and prospective customer files in SalesForce.com.

 

-Strong written and verbal skills.

-Strong presentation skills.

-Exhibits positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times.

-Attends sales meetings, training sessions and product introductions.

-Abides by all Taste Tradition procedures and policies.

-Closing ability required and previous sales experience a must.

-Experience in the frozen food, grocery, food service or convenience store sales. 

-Industry experience ideal, but NOT required.

-Demonstrates maturity, integrity, and character in all Taste Tradition relationships.

-Must have strong computer skills.

-Travel 35%-40%.

-Valid Driver’s License.

-Strong territory management skills.

-BS/BA degree a requirement.
