Allo Communications (Allo) is the fastest growing telephone company in Nebraska’s (308) area code in Nebraska. Allo currently offers local, long distance, broadband, and Internet services as well as telephone equipment in over 20 towns.

Since 2004, Allo Communications has been deploying an all-fiber communications network throughout the communities of Scottsbluff, Gering and Alliance, with particular emphasis on covering the commercial district. By building over 60 miles of fiber within the cities, Allo has covered over 90% of the business and governmental regions. Currently, Allo has approximately 5,000 business access lines on its fiber representing a 50% market share for government and business.

Allo’s growth is now focused on the residential sections of the cities and to build additional cities in the (308) area code with our fiber-to-the-premise (FTTP) services.

Once Allo’s fiber network interface device is installed, locations have virtually unlimited bandwidth enabling current and most future technologies. Allo’s technical methodology is to converge all communications services - voice, video and data - into optical Ethernet. Over a single fiber to each location, Allo can deliver enormous bandwidth, from a single voice line to hundreds; from 1Mb to 1,000Mb, all on demand. This network design is based on growing demand for bandwidth and an increased need for innovative communications services in rural communities.

Data and Internet services are delivered over simple 10/100 Ethernet ports, delivering bandwidth for Allo’s customers without the cost and complexity of circuit based networks. Private data networks, IP video applications and Internet access are all delivered as separate networks, accommodating the customer’s current IP address scheme. Allo can provide business class and dedicated Internet to 10 mbps and Ethernet connections between businesses from 10 Mbps to 1 Gigabit.

To provide these service offerings, Allo utilizes its central office and telephone exchange in Scottsbluff. A state-of-the-art voice switching platform, selected to compliment Allo’s optical Ethernet access network, provides a full range of communications’ services. Allo is currently supporting a full range of business and residential applications, including banks, medical practices, government offices and retail business. Allo supports telephone connections from basic analog business and residential lines to OC3 connections.
