Nebraska Cancer Specialists is looking for a Medical Coder to work in a busy and growing oncology practice located at the Bergan Mercy Medical Building in Omaha, NE.

The Medical Biller and Coder position responsibilities include but are not limted to: Ensure collection of daily charge tickets, review for errors and ensure completion in a timely manner, investigate discrepancies or problems with charge tickets by interacting with physicians, nurses or other staff to resolve issues; answer nurse and physician questions regarding reimbursement for drug and procedures, following NCCN guidelines and/or insurance policy guidelines; Update billing system with new insurance information and coding and updating diagnosis for new and established patients; assists patients with billing questions and problems; responsible for pre-authorization process for procedures and drugs.

Qualifications: Certified Professional Coder is preferred. Minimum of one year coding experience with Oncology billing experience preferred. Strong customer service skills and attention to detail is required. Must possess Nebraska Cancer Specialists, Core Values of Compassion, Excelelnce, Respect and Integrity.
