PROJECT MANAGER/SCRUM MASTER

Our fast growing Internet based financial company located in Chattanooga, Tennessee is in need of a Project Manager/Scrum Master.  Our company offers a competitive salary and benefit package and a relaxed work environment.

DESCRIPTION:

Our project methodology is based upon Agile Scrum.  The Project Manager will provide hands-on work as the Scrum Master for 3 to 4 project teams. They will also work with development managers to manage workload and availability of resources. The teams are both located onsite and geographically dispersed including international offices.  

RESPONIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Manages full SDLC, milestones, and development team execution and efforts for all assigned projects including software release management.
• Plays the role of the overall scrum master, promoting the methodology to all developers, product owners and QA-testers.
• Leads and organizes system change requests and bug tracking, and general software development team project management reporting.
• Facilitates estimating processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5 years of project management experience, or a relevant combination of education and experience.
• Certified Scrum Master with 2+ years of Scrum Master experience
• Understanding of other System Development Lifecycles
• Ability to perform requirements definition and analysis, and to define and develop functional/technical specifications
• Solid problem solving/analytical abilities
• Ability to estimate effort on proposed application development projects
• Ability to participate in development of internal standards
• Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision and with other department personnel
• Sound professional skills including time and priority management
• Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication abilities
