Job Title:  City (Pickup and Delivery) Driver

Department/Location: Lincoln, NE

Job Summary: Responsible for timely pick up and deliver of freight to customers while following correct documentation and safety procedures.

Job Specifications:

Daily –

• - unload and load trailers
• - prepare freight for safe deliver
• - load and secure freight to provide safe delivery on truck. 
• - deliver freight to customers in an efficient, friendly manner
• - fill out all documents associated with picking up and delivering freight following procedural, operational and safety guide lines (Federal Motor Vehicles, NTC, etc.)
• - maintain equipment
• - pre-trip inspections 

Knowledge and Skills:  

1. Requires basic knowledge of office machines (copier, fax, and computer), freight dock and delivery procedures, and truck operation.
2. Individual must possess basic skills in office machine input, truck driving, freight handling, and delivery equipment (forklift, 2 wheel cart, etc.) operation and documentation procedures.
3. Individual must possess excellent initiative, customer service, accuracy and flexibility skills, while working within well defined parameters and practices dealing with freight delivery procedures.
4. Requires the ability to cooperate and work closely with management, co-workers and customers.
5. Requires Class A CDL, 2 years verifiable driving experience, and Hazmat endorsement, with the ability to lift 100 pounds

 Driver Qualifications Necessary-

1. 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience-must have or be able to get Hazmat endorsement.
2. Clean MVR
3. Clean Criminal Background
4. Able to meet DOT Physical Requirements

Working Conditions:  Working conditions are consistent with normal freight dock and delivery environment, including working in inclement weather.
