Cabela's, the World's Foremost Outfitter of hunting and fishing gear, has an opening for a Sr. Transportation Auditor in our Domestic Division of the Logistics Department, at our corporate office in Sidney, NE. This position will audit freight invoices for accuracy, assign general ledger codes, and record expenses for transportation providers. Maintain past and current freight rate files for all modes of transportation pertaining to inbound and outbound freight processes. Provide internal customers with routing information plus associated cost metrics. Filing and inputting various data entry duties as assigned by management. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Interacts with internal Cabela's departments and functions, logistics providers and vendors as needed to facilitate Cabela's logistics processes. Performs freight bill audit processes in accordance with established Sarbox procedures. Perform freight cost/rate analysis for project based activities. Secondary contact for shipment problem solving for our customers, suppliers and internal sources: Delivery problem resolution, Track problem shipments, Expedite freight shipments, Collect and review shipment documents, Set up returns for refused shipments, and give freight cost estimates. Performs other tasks and duties as directed by management. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of transportation pricing and processes. Enthusiastic attitude that will compliment working in a team environment.Strong skills in a variety of personal computer software and hardware which would include Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point. Ability to communicate with internal and external business contacts in a courteous and professional manner. Possess excellent interpersonal skills along with written and verbal communication skills. EDUCATON AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent.One to Three years experience related to transportation practices and procedures.
