Job Description
Under general direction, to plan, organize, manage and participate in systems and program development activities. Support data processing and telecommunications services to various departments within the company. Provide staff assistance to the IT Department.
This position reports to the Chief Information Officer.
Task List
- Coordinates with IT staff for information gathering and information management
- Evaluates and adjusts information flow when necessary
- Stays abreast of technical innovations relevant to organizational mission
- Receives, reviews, coordinates and replies to inquiries and requests
- Prepares and reviews proposals
- Obtains quotations
- Attends meetings as required
- Participates in the development and administration of the department's budget
- Coordinates IT Department activities with departments and outside agencies and organizations
- Reviews work in progress or upon completion for compliance with standards
- Prepares and maintains a variety of records, reports and correspondence related to departmental activities
- Perform additional duties as requested by management
Job Specifications
- Experience with tracking license compliance
- Experience in the tracking of organizational assets
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project
- Knowledge of planning and project procedures
- Knowledge of IT Department management and procedures
- Knowledge of procedures for securing personal and/or financial data
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to prepare and conduct effective presentations
- Knowledge of administrative principles and methods
- Knowledge of desktop computer software and hardware
