MEDIWARE SUPPORT ANALYST to join our
MCKESSON PRACTICE GROUP SUPPORT TEAM.
**This is a virtual based position which can be based anywhere within the United States.Responsibilities:

This position will troubleshoot, find root cause, and support multiple facilities
Acknowledge OPAS/Remedy tickets and follow-up with the client in a timely fashion
Follow-up communication back to the facility with troubleshooting results and resolution
Document issues, troubleshooting steps and resolutions in OPAS/Remedy in a timely fashion
Perform routine maintenance and system checks
Escalation of issues which one cannot resolve to appropriate party
Document issues and resolutions for knowledge database
Test upgrades and patches prior to rollout to facilities
Table build and maintenance as required
Provide backup support for other team members and require to be on call rotation
Develop and provide training materials
Will be required to work extended hours on a routine basis
Assist in capitalizing on clinical business development opportunities with both current and potential customers Identifies, analyzes, and evaluates alternative design solutions
Knowledge of HIPAA, JCAHO, DOH, CAP, AABB, FDA, other regulatory agency standards and requirements, and medical terminology
Required Skills:
Complete understanding of laboratory processes and previous experience supporting and /or implementing MEDIWARE
2+ years experience in healthcare
The outstanding candidate will also possess knowledge of clinical departments to include ancillary service areas, previous hospital experience and knowledge of work flow processes; a clinical background in the laboratory environment
Desired Skills:
Working knowledge of MEDIWARE and Cerner CoPath a plus
Working knowledge of Horizon Order Management or horizon Meds Manager
Working knowledge of standard support process
Experience with Remedy or similar service delivery/problem management tools
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent analytical skills
Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast paced environment
Minimum Educational Requirements:
Bachelors in Medical Technology or Associates Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent years experience
Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
MLT or MT certification preferred
*The ideal candidate will possess the required skills and will be able to work remotely from home and travel as needed to visit client locations, up to 25% of the time.
