Position Description
Description
The Emergency Room staff nurse assumes principal responsibility for the total nursing care, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of each assigned patient. The staff nurse initiates teaching and educates the patient and family or significant other to attain optimal health.
Qualifications
Graduate of a professional nursing program. Current RN licensure in the State of Nebraska; current BCLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC certifications. Knowledge of current nursing theory and practice. Minimum of 1 year critical care or emergency department experience required. Must be able to perform unloading of patients from helicopters in a variety of weather conditions.
