The staff nurse assumes principal responsibility for the total nursing care, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of each assigned patient. The staff nurse initiates teaching and educates the patient and family/or significant other to attain optimal health.

| Qualifications |
|
Graduate of a professional nursing program. Current RN licensure. Current BCLS and ACLS certification. If no ACLS certification, need to obtain within 3-6 months of hire. Knowledge of current nursing theory and practice. Minimum 1 year experience for per diem (on call) positions. |
