Position Description
Description
The Float Pool staff nurse assumes principal responsibility for the total nursing care, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of each assigned patient. The staff nurse initiates teaching and educates the patient and family/or significant other to attain optimal health.
Qualifications
Graduate of a professional nursing program. Current RN licensure. Current BCLS and ACLS certification required. If no ACLS certification upon hire, staff will need to obtain within 3-6 months of hire. Additional certifications preferred (PALS, NRP, etc.) Knowledge of current nursing theory and practice. Minimum 1 year RN experience required for float pool positions.
