Description |
| Evaluates inpatients/outpatients demonstrating physical, emotional, or social deficits upon physical referral. Individualized treatment plans are established specific to disability. Family/patient education is provided to ensure understanding of rehab goals, treatment methods, and home follow through. Documentation is completed per department standards for all patients. Participates in department and hospital in-services as required. Appropriate referral and involvement from associated health care services is initiated as indicated. May be assigned to supervise Level 1 Occupational Therapy students and volunteers at any time. May also be assigned to supervise a Level II Occupational Therapy student after one year of clinical experience upon approval of Manager. |
| Qualifications |
| Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program. Must be certified or eligible for certification by NBCOT. Licensed by the state of Nebraska as an Occupational Therapist. Current BCLS certification. Experience in an acute care setting or SNF setting preferred. Compassionate, non-judgmental patient caregiver and advocate. Able to independently manage multiple priorities. |
