The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible along with the Clinical Coordinator for development and implementation of department clinical services to ensure delivery of high-quality patient care in a cost-effective manner. Assists Pharmacy staff and provides clinical pharmaceutical services to patients, Medical staff and Nursing staff. May be involved with the compounding and dispensing of pharmaceutical preparations according to established procedures and policies within the laws, rules and regulations of the State of Nebraska, Nebraska State Board of Pharmacy and Federal agencies. Works independently within the guidelines of departmental and hospital procedures and policies. Supervision is readily available and work is routinely checked by an associate or supervisor for accuracy and conformance to standards.

| Qualifications |
|
Minimum of a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from a college of pharmacy with completion of a one-year postgraduate Residency program or demonstrate equivalent experience. Must be a licensed pharmacist registered in the State of Nebraska, a certified preceptor for the State (becomes certified when eligible) and must become preceptor for Creighton University School of Pharmacy.
