REQUIREMENTS
A. EDUCATION
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
Preferred: MBA in Accounting and/or Finance.
B. LICENSING/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION
Required:
Preferred: C.P.A.
C. EXPERIENCE
Required: 2-3 years experience working with industrial cost accounting and systems. Also, 2-3 years experience as a Controller for a manufacturing facility.
Preferred: 3-5 years experience working and implementing industrial cost accounting as well as systems. Also, 2-3 years as a Certified Public Accountant.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Accurately record and maintain various accounting documentation on a timely basis.
· Arrange for audits of company accounts.
· Support the CEO with a proper financial plan.
· Analyze operational and financial statements to identify areas of opportunity and/or improvement.
· Direct preparation of budgets, review budget proposals, and prepare necessary supporting documentation and justification.
· Management and supervision of staff responsible for accounts payable, receivable, collections, and general accounting.
· Coordinate the operational budgeting and controlling process.
· Oversee the Human Resource Department
· Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
DUTIES AND TASKS
· Ensure that GAAP basic accounting procedures are followed.
· Maintain General ledger accounts accurately.
· Performs cost accounting and cash management.
· Produce and maintain financial statements on a timely basis each month.
· Identifies opportunities for increased fiscal effectiveness and efficiency, and develops and implements solutions.
· Analyzes revenue sources to maximize revenue recovery.
· Performs cost accounting and cash management.
· Ensure that bank reconciliations are done timely, properly and accurately.
· Ensure that the computation of sales commissions is performed timely and accurate.
· Review and approve all credit issues.
· Advise management on insurance overages and protection issues so as to properly protect company assets.
· Insure that capitol assets are correctly accounted for and depreciated according to GAAP reporting procedures.
· Arrange for audits of company accounts as necessary.
· Support the CFO/CEO with proper financial strategic plan.
· May complete or oversee accounts receivable functions
· Prepare as necessary, all federal and state and property tax estimates for submission and payment
· Reconcile bank accounts.
· Prepare all quarterly as well as annual reports for the government regarding Payroll including W-2's.
· Prepares Cash Position daily.
· Prepare necessary data for year end taxes to be presented to company tax accountant.
· Develop and issue reports that aid the company in decision making.
· Interact with manufacturing procurement and distribution to properly manage transaction flows through the system from raw material to finished goods.
