Position Description

 BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY:
The Medical Assistant provides quality care to patients, under the direction of licensed practitioners, promotes efficient operation of the clinic, and provides assistance to physicians and support staff.

 

EDUCATION:

 

Required:

High School Diploma.
Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program.
Certified in Basic Life Support.
Medication Aid Registry application completed and mailed to state within first 30 days of employment, Medication Aid Certification maintain current thereafter.*

Preferred: 

Medical Assistant Certification is preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

Preferred:

1-2 years in a physicians office is highly desirable.
May need experience in related area related to clinical setting.
