Position Description

UNMC Physicians is seeking a dynamic leader to join our organziation.

BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY:
Performs highly responsible professional accounting work, directing activities which include financial reporting, financial analysis, regulatory reporting, fund accounting, maintenance of general ledger system, receipts, disbursements, payroll, cash management, internal control assessment and other financial management functions for use by management

EDUCATION:

Required:

B.S. degree in Finance with emphasis in Accounting, Health Information Management or Business Administration.
CPA.

Preferred:

MBA

EXPERIENCE:

Required:

10 years experience of increasing responsibility in financial leadership and reporting management role with a large, multi-departmental company.
Financial experience in a not-for-profit organization.
Strong knowledge of GAAP.

Preferred:

10+ years experience of increasing financial management and reporting responsibility within a multi-disciplinary physician practice or other large healthcare provider environment.
