UNMC Physicians is a non-profit Nebraska corporation with multiple departments consisting of patient care services, billing, collections and distribution of medical service fees. Nebraska Clinicians Group was incorporated in 1971 and was restructured in 1995 after a merger with several UNMC group practice entities to become University Medical Associates. In January of 2006 University Medical Associates was renamed to become UNMC Physicians. UNMC Physicians is an ancillary of the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
