Operations Director Behavioral Services
Creates a work environment conducive to effective communication, collaboration, team building and professionalism.
Assures appropriate understanding, awareness and compliance with all applicable JCAHO, federal, state and agency laws, regulations, guidelines and professional standards.
Develops and manages capital and operational budgets in support of strategic plans and goals.
Works collaboratively to develop plans, goals and implementation strategies in support of Alegent Health Mission, Vision and business objectives.
Develops, coordinates and manages operating systems and operational standardization, service standards, approaches, policies and procedures for Behavioral Services.
Experience
A minimum of five years of progressive experience in behavioral health care. At least three years of management experience in a healthcare environment is required.
Educational
A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Nursing, Social Work, Counseling or a related health field is required, any equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
Masters degree preferred.
Completion of a Registered Nurse program in an accredited institution required.
Must have a Current Registered Nurse License in Nebraska or Iowa, Nebraska and Iowa are compact states, so license must be held in the state of your residence.
BLS or BLS instructor certification is required upon hire. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include the following: American Red Cross: CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, American Safety and Health Institute: CPR, PRO, must say Professional Level-with AED, and American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.

Must possess strong knowledge of inpatient, partial, and school behavioral care; strong knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and professional standards; strong project management skills; good communication skills; good strategic planning skills; strong change management skills; must demonstrate personal traits of a high level of motivation; team orientation; professionalism; trust; and place a high value on treating others with dignity and respect.
