Position Description
Overview

Responsible for internal communications for First Datas Operations & Technology (O&T) organization. Part of the First Data Communications team dedicated to working closely with the O&T leadership team and their direct reports, as well as others at a variety of levels across the company to serve O&Ts communications needs.

Major Responsibilities (list essential duties and key objectives)

- Develops and owns the execution of the communications strategy to support and enhance O&Ts business objectives.
- Provides thought leadership regarding message development to effectively enhance the understanding of the role O&T plays within First Data.
- Prepares and performs all internal communications for the program.
- Manages internal communications strategy and processes to enhance employees. awareness/engagement around O&Ts strategic priorities.
- Proactively suggests new and meaningful methods to communicate the agenda, vision, and successes. of O&T externally and internally - anticipating both strategic and tactical issues to be addressed.
- Gathers and analyzes information pertaining to critical business issues.
Works with cross organizational programs to ensure alignment in communications
- Minimum 7 to 10 years experience in internal communications, public relations and/or corporate communications.
- Minimum 3 years experience in financial services/technology services preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of communications and public relations principles and practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated complex problem-solving skills, critical thinking methodologies, decision making and the ability to adapt strategies and solutions.
- Excellent time management, writing, presentation, communications, and organization skills.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to effectively direct communication activities.
EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required
