Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
Full Time, Exempt position
Columbus Office, Out Patient Services
Do you have a Master’s of Science Degree in Nursing? Are you certified as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner? Do you have experience in psychiatric and chemical dependency nursing? If you are a Registered Nurse and have your APRN licenses, apply to be our APRN today!
GENERAL SUMMARY: Functions within the scope of practice of an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner to provide accurate evaluation, treatment, and education and medication management for clients suffering mental health and/or chemical dependency disorders. Also acts as an educational resource for behavioral health and wellness. Functions across the spectrum of behavioral health programs provided by Catholic Charities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Master of Science in Nursing;
· Certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner;
· Experience in psychiatric and chemical dependency nursing;
· Knowledge of chemical dependency disease concept and 12-step program;
· Valid Nebraska Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licenses;
· Valid DEA license and the ability to prescribe psychotropic medications required.
*Catholic Charities expects any staff in a recovery program for substance abuse and/or mental illness, have a minimum of 2 years continuous recovery.
