Position Description
JOB SUMMARY

 

Inspects and hangs soft goods within established standards in preparation for sale. Responsible for working in a safe and efficient manner.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·          Appropriate use and storage of Goodwill tools, equipment and property

·          Completes Goodwill reports and/or forms timely and accurately

·          Assists customers, coworkers and participants in a courteous, professional and helpful manner

·          Performs duties in a safe manner and assists in maintaining a clean, organized and safe production area and restrooms

·          Reports known/suspected security and or theft activity (internal and external) to management

·          Required to attend monthly store meeting and in-service training when scheduled

·          Assist donors with donations and issues receipts

·          Must be able to work flexible hours as required in order to meet operational needs of the store

·          Inspects and sorts hanging and bin item to ensure that items are saleable

·          Hang clothing on the appropriate hanger/rack, categorized by established standards

·          Utilize tagging gun to tag clothing according to established policy

·          Separates out all seasonal soft and hard goods into the appropriate bins, and insures that the bins are emptied into their designated areas

·          Meets or exceeds daily productivity and quality standards as determined by the District Store Manager

·          Meet or exceed attendance expectations for this position

·          Actively maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes the physical and emotional well being of employees,

         customers, and participants.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

·          High school diploma or GED preferred

·          Previous experience in a production or manufacturing setting preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITES

·          Must be capable of standing in one location for extended period of time with continuous upper body movement and some pushing and   

        pulling.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

          Sedentary

                Lifting up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers, and files.

                Walking and standing are required only occasionally.

 

          Light

                Lifting 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 10 pounds.

                Walking or standing to a significant degree, involves sitting most of the time with a degree of pushing and pulling.

 


      X    Medium

                Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Walking or standing to a significant degree, involves standing most of the time with frequent pushing and pulling.
