Position Description
JOB SUMMARY

 

Greets and assists Donors in a courteous, professional and helpful manner, offers donation receipts and records donations.

Places goods in appropriate containers according to standards. Responsible for working in a safe and efficient manner.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·          Greets and assists Donors with a positive attitude

·          Assist in unloading of sold merchandise. Issues receipts tracks donor on the donor count sheet

·          Appropriate use and storage of Goodwill tools, equipment and property

·          Completes and maintains Goodwill reports and/or forms timely and accurately

·          Assists coworkers, participants and volunteers in a courteous, professional and helpful manner

·          Performs work duties in a safe manner and maintains a clean, organized work area

·          Assists in maintaining a clean, organized and safe production area and restroom

·          Reports known/suspected security and/or theft problems (internal and external)

·          Required to attend monthly store meeting and in-service training when scheduled

·          Cleans dock and trash area as needed and empties trash if authorized

·          Must be able to work flexible hours as required in order to meet operational needs of the store

·          Meets or exceeds daily productivity and quality standards as determined by the Retail Operations Director

·          Places goods inappropriate containers

·          Meet or exceed the attendance expectations for this positions

·          Actively maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes the physical and emotional well being of employees,

customers, and participants.

·          Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

·          High school diploma or GED preferred

·          Previous experience in a production or manufacturing setting preferred

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must be at least 18 years of age, and have received proper training and certification to operate compactor, bailer, forklift, etc.

 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

·          Must be capable of standing and/or walking for extended periods of time with continuous lifting and some pushing and pulling

·          Must be able to work in production environment

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

            Sedentary

                Lifting up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers, and files.

                Walking and standing are required only occasionally.

             Light

                Lifting 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 10 pounds.

                Walking or standing to a significant degree, involves sitting most of the time with a degree of pushing and pulling.

 


 


    X      Medium

                Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Walking or standing to a significant degree, involves standing most of the time with frequent pushing and pulling.

 


 


            Heavy

                Lifting 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
