RN Clinics
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs and or directs patient care services including, but not limited to, admission interview, assessment, accurate documentation and maintain timely patient flow.
Triage patient care to ensure priority is provided to patients in an emergency situation.
Ensures patient is appropriately prepared for care encounter.
Prepares and obtains patient medical records and other information/documentation pertinent to patient encounter.
Assists healthcare providers with exams, treatments, procedures and testing as directed.
Ensures appropriate consent forms are obtained prior to the above.
Schedules and provides patient instructions for tests, treatments and hospital admissions, following correct insurance protocol.

Experience Required
None
Preferred: One or more years of clinical nursing experience in an ambulatory health care setting.
Education and or Licensure Certification
Requires active licensure as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska or Iowa, Nebraska and Iowa are compact states, so licensure is required in the state of residence.
Current BLS certification required within Orientation or Probationary six month period.
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities
Knowledge of:
professional nursing theory and practice
organizational policies, regulations and procedures
medical equipment and instruments,
risk management, quality improvement and infection control
ICD 9 and CPT coding skills,
insurance protocols
Skills as demonstrated through:
applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of professional nursing
continuous accurate verbal and written communication
establishing and maintaining cooperative and collaborative working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public
continuous time, resource and task management
Ability to:
provide compassionate, empathetic patient care
react calmly, professionally in emergency situations, and in times of conflict resolution
work closely with the providers responding appropriately and timely to providers requests
willingness to learn and apply computer processes to daily operations
apply all knowledge and skill requirements
