Linen Tech II
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Operates all ironers folders, small piece folders, and neat feed to include both feeding and folding positions.
Folds specified items by hand in the tumble dry.
Evaluates all linen, regardless of position assigned to, for stains, tears, and quality of finished product and places unacceptable items in designated locations.
Catches linen emerging from folders and puts the finishing folds in as necessary.
Places finished products in appropriate areas as assigned either for storage or ready to be put into storage.
Appropriate areas may include the conveyor belt, flow racks, storage racks, storage shelves or baskets as the case may be.
Evaluates clean linen includes all areas on the finish side for stains or holes and places such linen in baskets designated for rewash or mending.
Assists with manual sorting and folding of all linen items.
Shakes out: sorts and prepares linen for ironers, small piece folders and tumble dry areas.
Operates conveyor belt. Places processed linen in appropriate location
Experience
One to six months of laundry experience.
Education and Licensure
Preferred High School education or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to follow written or oral instructions required and work without supervision.
Job requires continuous verbal communication skills and written communication skills.
